Annual Fund Programs
Leadership Giving
Recognizing the importance of annual giving to the success of the Centennial Campaign, President David Leebron named the Rice Annual Fund an institutional priority and set a goal of doubling the annual amount raised by the end of the campaign. Leadership gifts — contributions of $2,500 or more — are crucial to the Annual Fund’s continued growth and will need to increase incrementally every year as the campaign progresses.
Alumni Giving
We anticipate that nearly 50 percent of the gifts to the Centennial Campaign will be from Rice’s alumni. And most of these alumni will make gifts to the Rice Annual Fund. Special giving programs for alumni include the reunion giving program and the young alumni giving program for those who have graduated within the past 10 years.
Parents Giving
Many parents think of the Rice Annual Fund as the ultimate care package, or as several, continual care packages throughout a student’s education that enhance and support the Rice experience. By giving to the Rice Annual Fund, parents sustain a nurturing environment that offers students the necessities and the intangibles to transform aspirations into meaningful achievement.
Faculty and Staff Giving
For the past six years, the Houston Business Journal has named Rice one of the city's best places to work. A big reason for this is the dedication and generosity of our faculty and staff. With a contribution to the Rice Annual Fund, they ensure Rice remains a stimulating place to work, as well as a stimulating place for student life and learning.
