Will you have your college’s back in Rice College Battle 2015?
When you make a gift of any size to the Rice Annual Fund between March 16 and 27, you can propel your college to victory! The college with the greatest average giving participation among its alumni, parents and students wins College Battle — and $1,000 for its student budget. Every single one of you can make a difference for Rice, and we want every Owl to know it. When you give, we’ll put your name on campus. Literally!

What is the impact of my gift?
Here’s what your College Battle gift can do:
- Current-use, unrestricted funds keep Rice Rice by enhancing the student experience and our academic community. Last year, College Battle raised more than $500,000 for scholarships, residential colleges, campus life and more!
- Your donation increases Rice’s giving participation rates, enhancing its place in college rankings nationwide.
- Each gift helps your college get that much closer to winning $1,000 for its budget next year.
- You show today’s students, faculty and staff how much you care when your name appears on campus!
How can current students participate?
From March 23 to 27, today’s Owls will compete in their very own competition, lovingly referred to as “Jar Wars.” Students donate coins to their college’s jar to earn points and add dollar bills to the opposing college’s jars to subtract points. The college with the most points at noon on March 27 wins a food truck after Beer Bike!
The top three Jar Wars teams gain participation points for their college, which means that current students can help decide the College Battle winner!
Your gift counts! The college with the greatest average giving participation will win College Battle — and $1,000 for current students. See who’s in the lead starting March 16.
