Rice University

Class Agents and Committee Members

Each year, more than 300 people volunteer for the various annual giving programs. Volunteering is a great way to stay in touch with your classmates while doing something valuable for Rice University. Most of the volunteer opportunities require little time—usually around two hours each month.

Class Agent

This position provides leadership and direction for a class's annual giving effort. Class agents work with program staff to set class participation and dollar goals, write a personalized letter to the class in the fall, solicit at least 10 classmates, send thank you notes to classmates who contribute to the Annual Fund, and attend class agent training and telefund sessions. Class agents are expected to make gifts before soliciting others. Class agents serve a three-year term.
