The Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management is one of the world's leading business schools. Founded in 1974, it is already among the top five percent of business schools.
The Jones School building, built in 2002, has three times more usable space than Herring Hall, the school's former location. The building features a 14,000 sq. ft. business information center, which provides students with periodicals, annual reports, and online access to the latest financial information, and the El Paso Corporation Finance Center, which facilitates students' learning in trading, risk management, and other tools of financial analysis.
The school prides itself on its action-learning curriculum focused on developing leadership and communication skills. It is one of two business schools that requires students to work with businesses as part of their education.
The Financial Times 2005 ranks the Jones School's MBA program the best in Texas and the Southwest. The Financial Times has ranked the Jones School among the top 10 business schools in the world for finance five out of the last six years and in the top 10 for entrepreneurship twice in six years.
The Princeton Review 's most recent Best 143 Business Schools ranks the Jones School among the top 10 in "most competitive students" and "greatest opportunity for women."
