Many companies have a large number of Rice alumni working for them. Volunteers at each of these companies are needed to inform Rice alumni and parents about the company's matching gift program and encourage them to participate. Typically, these programs double or triple employees' and retirees' personal gifts to the Rice Annual Fund.
This volunteer position manages the corporate matching efforts for alumni employees, retirees, and parents at the agent's company. Responsibilities include contacting Rice employees, retirees, and parents at the company, sending another solicitation toward the end of the company's matching program or Rice's fiscal year, and sending thank you notes to those who do contribute to the Annual Fund. Corporate agents are expected to make gifts before soliciting others. The term is two years, and the average time commitment is two hours each month.
