Rice Owls Give Back

On Oct. 12, Rice University celebrated Rice Day in honor of the university's founding. This auspicious day also launched a month-long celebration of philanthropy at the university, a time-honored tradition that began with William Marsh Rice's founding gift.

From Nov. 1 to 17, the Student Philanthropy Committee (SPC) encourages all Owls to think about the role philanthropy plays in our community and honor the impact of the over 21,000 donors who gave to the university last year.

Students will gather across campus at Rice Owls Give Back (ROGB) Days on Nov. 1, 2 and 3 at the North Colleges, South Colleges, Valhalla and Coffeehouse to express their thanks to Rice's supporters.

Current students will also kick off their Class Gift campaigns and join in a century of Owls giving back to Rice. Learn more about the importance of student participation at giving.rice.edu/students.

When Rice Owls Give Back, great things can happen!
