The Rice Fund
The majority of parents who make a gift to Rice do so through The Rice Fund. One-third of contributions to The Rice Fund was contributed by parents in the 2025 fiscal year, providing immediate-use funding that goes to work for students and the university today. Such unrestricted funding enables Rice to respond to new opportunities and funding needs as they arise, fostering the most vibrant university environment possible.
Rice Parents Council
The Rice Parents Council inspires and drives philanthropic support while fostering meaningful engagement between families of current undergraduates and the university. Council members serve as informed partners who help advance Rice’s mission and enrich the student experience. Members build meaningful connections with the university by attending and hosting regional and campus events, engaging with university leadership, faculty, staff and fellow Rice families, and serving as ambassadors to prospective and incoming families.
